My main aim is to make you feel confident and happy about yourself. Fitness is about being the ‘best version of you.’

I have been a personal trainer for about 10 years, and experience has provided me insight into the health and fitness industry, and helped shape my own ideas.

The approach I adopt is ‘client-centerd, (we are all individuals and our training should reflect that- there is no one size fits all approach) and focused on developing positive behaviour habits (exercise, nutrition, recovery) that you can sustain.

I am not a huge advocate of the 6-12 week body transformations you often see advertised!!! For a large percentage of you, this is not the way forward (although for a minority it is beneficial). Experience and observation has taught me that the negatives outweigh the benefits (there are some) when it comes to these types of transformations!!!

Neither am I a believer in the - ‘No Pain, No Gain’ approach to training. Consistency and gradual progress is the best approach to sustainable results and a healthy, fit lifestyle.

I was struggling not knowing how to use gym work and strength training to help improve my running performance and complement the miles I run.

As a result of my PT sessions I feel much stronger on my runs. Haven't had many injuries/niggles since including gym work.Running actually feels a bit easier, while running at my usual paces.

I would 100% recommend Andrew to help improve your running through strength training. Explains all exercises clearly and includes specific exercises to strengthen any weaknesses. Having injured my knee quite badly and not being able to successfully run more than 3 miles without pain, I was advised by the hospital physio to start with leg strengthening exercises, I contacted Andrew to see if he could help. As someone who also has passion for running, I felt that Andrew would be the best person to help me achieve my goal of having stronger legs.

I started with a combination of Couch25K and training with Andrew twice a week. Not only did we concentrate on strength training for my legs, but overall body conditioning. As someone who is a classic runner with no upper body strength, this has been tough at times (love the leg press, not so much push ups or bench press). With Andrew's support I went from being unable to run to running my second fastest half marathon race event. This has been a huge result having not been able to run consistently for over 2 years.

Andrew has a friendly and relaxed approached, but is fully invested in helping me achieve what I want out of our sessions. I fully recommend Andrew, especially if like me you're not comfortable in a gym environment.

I have been having regular Personal Training sessions with Andrew since recently joining the gym. Andrew is a very knowledgeable instructor who helps instill confidence, develop good form and build structure. All sessions have been varied yet fun and with a structure towards achieving my goals. I really enjoyed the 12 sessions in the Body Blitz. There was a good mix of HIIT and weights, including sessions on good weight lifting technique. Andrew adapted the sessions to suit our individual abilities and also incorporated some things we asked to try. I was pleased to see improvements between the fitness tests in the first and last session. I’d recommend this to anyone who has wanted to try lifting weights but has not had the confidence before, or who wants to tone up. I’ve definitely seen improvements in my body shape and can feel my strength has improved in just 6 weeks!

I’ve been training with Andrew twice a week for 5 months. Before starting with him I only used equipment I was comfortable with and didn’t try new workouts due to not knowing what to do. I now use heavier weights than I ever thought I would and know how to use the correct form. I’m more comfortable using the gym equipment and feel stronger and fitter since working with Andrew. He makes sure we do exercises I enjoy and helps me with my nutrition and meal planning. If anyone is thinking of having a personal trainer this new year or at any time I would highly recommend Andrew. He is excellent. His training is personalised to your training objectives, he makes you feel comfortable plus I haven't been regularly to the gym since I had my children, and he gave me the confidence to try different equipment and methods that would help me lose weight and build strength. I was a bit nervous and apprehensive about joining the gym and having personal training sessions, as I am someone who has never exercised much previously.

My overall body strength and body composition have improved through having PT. Andrew PT is very encouraging and friendly. I have been given plenty of motivation and advice during our PT. I now feel much more confident in the gym environment.

My main goal in having personal training sessions was to keep me accountable and help with losing weight. I used to be much slimmer before I had children and wanted to get back to my old self and body. With just 10 weeks of personal training and attending classes at 'Simply Gym', as well as eating healthy, I have succeed in improving my body composition and feel healthier and more confident. “I have been training with Andrew for about 10 months, 2 sessions per week, and not been disappointed. I had previously had a trainer about 1 year ago, and came away disappointed!!! So I was very apprehensive about forking out money again.
