Biography

Hi, I’m Jo and I want to change your perception on fitness, and through this you will find self-belief – to empower you to make health and fitness a sustainable part of your life and ultimately achieve your goals.

Who am I and where do I come from?

I have been a Personal Trainer for several years and worked in several gyms over that time. I have worked with group exercise, small group training and Personal Training. I have always been passionate about Sport and Fitness and over the years I have tried many sports. I have ventured into playing football for Bow Brickhill Ladies FC with mixed results. I have given Kickboxing a go, as well as six-week sessions of return to netball. I am a keen snow boarder. I have boarded in some of the most amazing places from Andorra to Canazei in the Dolomite Mountains of Italy and took the opportunity to honeymoon in the amazing heavenly resort in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, USA. But these days I am often at Sixfield Upton Parkrun either running or volunteering.

Since qualifying I have taken on further courses to enhance my work, with Nutrition courses as well as a Sports Science Degree.

My aim is to give you your life back. When married life and kids come along it is easy to lose your way and struggle to know who you are anymore. It’s easy to pick up bad habits and use the couch for exercise. 

I am available for 1-2-1 sessions as well as small group training, or if you just want a chat come and say hi.

  • Diploma in Nutrition & Weight Consultancy
  • Certificate in Optimum Nutrition for Heath & Performance
  • QA Level 3 in Emergency First Aid

I have problems with sciatica and I have restrictions on what exercises I can do as twisting causes problems. Jo sorts me out a treat and has helped with great programs

Each week Jo will have come up with a completely different session so there’s no chance of getting bored with the same old routine week after week. I had open heart surgery 2 years ago and since working with Jo have regained my confidence in the gym as well as my fitness and strength. I’ve also learnt a whole lot of new exercises to do too!
