A former competitive gymnast and qualified coach, I have been involved in the sports and fitness industry for over 10 years as a coach and almost 20 years as an athlete.

I have worked with recreational to elite international athletes across a variety of sports, as well as military service persons and special populations. My clients have medalled on the British and international podium, become master fitness professionals, recovered from various long-term musculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory health conditions and gotten into the best shape of their life.

I specialise in strength and conditioning for athletes of all abilities, but also offer bespoke packages catered towards weight management, health improvement and refining lifting technique.

I can highly recommend Matt as a personal trainer having been a client for the past 6 months.
I reached a plateau in my training and so engaged his services, I’m glad I did – I have made more progress in the past 6 months than I have done in the past 2 years.

He has an extensive academic background in sports science as well as personal experience of competing as an athlete at a high level – he is able to combine this knowledge and experience to provide a first-class personal training experience.

I have particularly appreciated his attention to detail and focus during our sessions – he knows when to push me harder and when to ease off to maximise results based on the overall training programme and how I am performing on the day. One of my aims was to improve and gain confidence in executing the main barbell lifts, Matt was able to explain the why, as well as the how to help me achieve this.

I have been impressed with his high level of professionalism in all aspects of his personal training from initial contact through to my ending our contract (change of family circumstances for me so unable to continue personal training at present time).

I could not recommend Matt more, he understands your wishes and needs, and plans around that. After seeing him for almost two years I was impressed with the results from not being able to lift even minor weight to achieving PB on deadlifts and others.
