Biography

I enjoy helping clients change their outlooks on training, change their lifestyle and generally improve their wellbeing. I will ensure diversity during a client’s session and each session will provide a chance to improve and progress on what you have already achieved.

Whether it’s improving your posture, changing your body shape, getting stronger or just to improve your overall fitness and movement patterns I will ensure that as a team we get to your goals and set new goals as you go along your fitness journey.

I believe in a trust relationship that can be stuck too, aiding your progression and allowing a true line of improvement that can be stuck too.

  • Premier Advanced Personal Trainer – Level 3
  • Premier Fitness Instructor – Level 2
  • Premier Kettlebell Certification
  • Premier VipR Certifciation
  • Insanity Instructor

Specialisms

I enjoy training clients using a variety of different methods which include

  • HIIT using clients bodyweight or extra free weights
  • Short burst sprint work whether it be hill based on your feet or bike based
  • Strength and Conditioning using TRX or plyometric methods
  • Negative phase work with free weights or resistance machines.

I believe that using different methods has all round benefits for each individual rather than sticking to one aspect of training.

I have been working with Steve for a few years now and I have benefited enormously. I have lost weight and inches but most of all my motivation has been restored. I was also struggling with a frozen shoulder and Steve worked with me to improve my movement which was a massive help. I have become fitter and stronger and the regular sessions keep me on track. We never do the same session twice which keeps away boredom and Steve sets me different plans to do in my own time. Working out is now not a chore!!

I’ve been a member of White Oak Leisure Centre for many years and a while ago was approached by Steve asking if I’d considered Personal Training. I was reluctant at first having had an on-going back problem. Soon I signed up after enjoying the taster session. The initial main focus was to strengthen my core and generally tone up. The osteopath was amazed that after only a few weeks my back had improved immensely thanks to Steve. The sessions are varied, CV work, upper and lower body, free weights and boxing which is a great stress reliever. My general fitness and strength has improved and with Steve’s motivation I hope to progress further.
