Active Dundee describes Lochee as classic old-style community baths, built in the late 19th and early 20th century and still one of the city's longstanding community leisure hubs. The gym in the west of the city has free weights, resistance machines and cardio equipment, with a health suite offering a sauna and steam room, and the centre runs an exercise referral programme.

Trainer numbers are capped at Lochee Swimming & Leisure Centre, you keep 100% of what your clients pay, and on-target earnings are £25,000 to £50,000 a year for a full-time self-employed Personal Trainer. The pool runs public swimming and Aquafit alongside the gym and health suite. Accessible toilets, changing facilities and a pool hoist are in place across the site.

The gym opens Monday and Wednesday to Friday 8.45am to 9.00pm, Tuesday 8.45am to 12.30pm and 3.30pm to 9.00pm, Saturday 9.00am to 4.30pm and Sunday 9.45am to 4.30pm. The gym and health suite close to the general public on Tuesdays between 12.30pm and 3.30pm for the centre's Active Women sessions.
