At YOUR PT, we’re proud to support our trainers not only in their professional goals but also in the personal causes close to their hearts. This month, we’re shining a light on one of our own — Luiza Martula — who recently took on a very personal challenge to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH).
Luiza openly admits she’s not a natural runner. But earlier this year, she stepped far outside her comfort zone for a cause that means everything to her.
Last Valentine’s Day, Luiza’s youngest son, Theo, was in a coma in the Intensive Care Unit at GOSH. It was a frightening and uncertain time for her whole family. Despite being sedated, Theo showed incredible determination — at one point, even trying to stand. His strength, along with the outstanding care provided by the GOSH ICU team, helped him recover.
Today, Theo is thriving - full of energy, kicking footballs, and enjoying every moment of his childhood.
Luiza shared:
“I’ve been incredibly lucky to see both of my sons healthy and happy. Running isn’t something I usually do, but I wanted to give back to the people who helped save my son’s life. If this can help another child and another family, it’s worth every step.”
Luiza completed her run to raise money for GOSH, in gratitude for the care Theo received and to support other children facing serious illness.
We’re proud to have Luiza as part of the YOUR PT team, and we’re behind her every step of the way.
If you’d like to support her fundraising efforts, donations are still open — every little bit truly helps:
Thank you for supporting Luiza and GOSH.
