How do gyms retain customers once the reopening excitement has faded?
IT’S BEEN great to see customers back in our clubs, and many operators are reporting an immediate uptick in membership enquiries. Indeed, the average daily membership sales were up by 240 per cent for one of our gym operators vs the same period in 2019.
However, although these figures are extremely positive, the biggest problems for our sector remain ‘how do we reach out to the physically inactive’ and ‘how do we retain these customers’?
A staggering 50,000 new members have joined YOUR Personal Training partner gyms since their reopening just a few weeks ago in April.
