YOUR Personal Training Partners with Ospreys Rugby to Back the Next Generation of Welsh Sport

The 2026/27 partnership brings YOUR PT back to its Swansea roots, supporting a club, community and talent pathway that helped shape the business itself.

For YOUR PT, partnering with Ospreys Rugby is about more than putting two sporting brands side by side. It's an opportunity for a business that began in Swansea to invest back into the region that shaped it, support the next generation of sporting talent and strengthen the connection between professional sport, fitness and local communities.

The partnership will see YOUR PT support Ospreys Rugby throughout the 2026/27 season, bringing together two organisations with a shared belief in developing people, creating opportunity and building environments in which talent can thrive.

From St Helen's to the Ospreys Academy

It also carries a deeply personal connection for YOUR PT Co-Founder James Lorey. Before co-founding YOUR PT, James spent many years representing Swansea RFC at the historic St Helen's ground and was involved in the early Ospreys Academy environment between 2002 and 2004.

It was a formative period in Welsh rugby, as the newly created Ospreys began bringing together some of the region's most promising young players and building pathways into the professional game.

Among that generation were players including James Hook, Alun Wyn Jones, Richard Hibbard, Martin Roberts and Craig Mitchell, several of whom would go on to achieve significant success at international level.

More than 20 years later, supporting the Ospreys through YOUR PT brings that journey full circle.

James Lorey, Co-Founder of YOUR PT, said:

“This partnership means a huge amount to me personally.

“I spent many years playing for Swansea RFC at St Helen's and was fortunate to be around the Ospreys Academy during its early years. It was an incredible environment, full of ambitious young players who were being given the opportunity to see how far their talent could take them.

“Some of those players went on to have extraordinary careers, but what stayed with me just as strongly were the lessons around resilience, discipline, teamwork and the importance of having the right people around you.

“Those principles have influenced the way we have built YOUR PT, so to now be in a position to support the Ospreys through the business feels like a genuine full-circle moment.

“It is about giving something back to a region and a sport that gave me a great deal, while helping support the people and opportunities that will shape its future.”

What the Ospreys say

Liam Dobell, Director of Commercial, Marketing and Communications at Ospreys Rugby, added:

“We're delighted to welcome YOUR PT into the Ospreys family. There's a genuine connection between James, the business, Swansea and the pathway here, which makes the partnership particularly meaningful.

“We share a strong belief in developing people and creating opportunities, and it's fantastic to see a successful Swansea-born business investing back into the region.”

Where talent alone is never enough

Both organisations operate in sectors where talent alone is never enough. Progress depends on coaching, opportunity, environment, culture and long-term development.

From its headquarters in Swansea, YOUR PT has grown to support more than 600 personal trainers across hundreds of leisure facilities around the UK, helping trainers build sustainable careers while enabling more people to access high-quality fitness expertise.

The Ospreys, meanwhile, have a long history of identifying, developing and providing opportunities for rugby talent across the region.

This partnership brings those ideas together: creating pathways, investing in people and showing what can happen when talent is given the right environment in which to develop.

Growing, with roots in South Wales

As YOUR PT continues to grow nationally and internationally, the partnership is also an opportunity to make sure that growth remains connected to its roots, where the business began.

James added:

“We have always been incredibly proud that YOUR PT started in Swansea.

“Our ambitions as a business continue to grow, but our roots are firmly in South Wales and that matters to us.

“Sport can create opportunities that go far beyond performance. It can build confidence, careers, communities and connections, and that is something both YOUR PT and the Ospreys understand extremely well.

“We are looking forward to working with Richard Lancaster and the wider Ospreys team and playing a meaningful part in what comes next.”

The 2026/27 partnership represents more than another milestone in YOUR PT's growth. It is a chance to support a major Welsh sporting institution, strengthen links between fitness and professional sport and invest back into a region that played an important part in the YOUR PT story.

More than two decades after James first experienced the Ospreys environment as a young player, YOUR PT now has the opportunity to help support the generation coming through behind him.

For YOUR PT, that is the real value of the partnership: not simply celebrating where we came from but helping create what comes next.
