I’ve gone from being completely gymphobic and intimidated by those environments, to actually enjoying using different equipment and feeling I have a space there to use it, all thanks to Adam and his very generous support and patience. He balances your needs against gently encouraging you to achieve more for yourself. It was really important for me to have a LGBTQ+ friendly trainer who understands my reservations about the gym, but Adam goes above and beyond in tailoring routines around my preferences including avoiding too much repetition and creating a comfortable and friendly space. Highly recommend especially for LGBTQ+ people in Manchester!

I’ve been training with Adam since July and I honestly can’t recommend him enough. I started personal training because I wanted to get healthier and into better shape, but before working with Adam I really struggled with motivation and actually getting myself to the gym.

Since training with Adam, I’m lifting much heavier and feel far more confident knowing what I’m doing in the gym. Having a personal trainer who explains things clearly and supports you properly has made a huge difference to my confidence and consistency.

One of the best things about training with Adam is how comfortable and relaxed the sessions feel. We get on really well, have a laugh, and it feels more like catching up with a friend than a stressful workout. He creates a really welcoming environment that makes you want to keep showing up.

I specifically chose Adam as my personal trainer because he’s LGBTQ+ friendly, which made me feel comfortable from day one. If you’re looking for a personal trainer in Manchester who is supportive, inclusive, and genuinely cares about your progress, I’d highly recommend Adam!

I’ve been training for three months now and starting the gym felt really intimidating at first. I had no clue where to begin or how to use the equipment.

From day one, Adam made everything feel manageable. He’s patient, explains things clearly, and takes the time to teach the basics properly while still pushing me to work hard (sometimes by quietly adding extra weight 😅).

Three months on, I feel so much more comfortable walking into the gym and genuinely proud of the progress I’ve made. It still feels like the beginning, but I’m excited to keep going.

If you’re nervous about starting the gym or want someone supportive who knows when to push you, I’d 100% recommend Adam.

Been struggling with gym motivation for a while, found Adam through an advert on canal street and booked in for a complimentary personal training session and I was really impressed. He’s based out of Manchester Aquatic Centre which is super convenient and instantly made me feel comfortable. Adam creates a warm, welcoming space, and as a gay PT he fully understood all my confidence issues being in a standard gym and explained things in a way that actually made sense. If you’re looking for a PT in Manchester who’s friendly, supportive and inclusive, I’d 100% recommend him

Great personal trainer full stop. An added plus is the comfort being LGBTQ+ & having a trainer who gets it! Just adds a level of ease to sessions. Also really pleasantly surprised by how used to ADHD he is, takes another weight off as he knows how to help out & be accommodating. The dream! Thanks Adam

I’ve only been training with Adam a few weeks, but I’m already feeling a lot better in the gym. I’ve got ADHD and he really gets how to keep things interesting and easy to follow, which helps loads. He’s patient, supportive and knows when to push you without making it feel too much. Would definitely recommend if you want a friendly and understanding gay personal trainer in Manchester.

I asked Adam for help because I wanted to build upper body muscle but I hate the gym and didn’t want to go. I needed someone who could work around that without making me feel like I was slacking. Adam totally got it. He built a plan using the weights I’ve got at home, factored in my swimming, and gave advice on how much exercise is actually useful day to day, including just walking to and from places. He broke down heart rate zones by age in a way that made sense, after I noticed that on my Apple Watch, which very helpful. when we do touch base together in the gym, I feel better with his help and support.

As a personal trainer myself, I’m really picky about who I train with, but Adam is the real deal. I train with him not because I don’t know what I’m doing, but because he is able to push me in ways that sometimes I don’t push myself. I’ve come to him for programming ideas, trained with him, and always leave feeling inspired and challenged. He’s knowledgeable, encouraging, and brings something fresh to every session. Adam’s focus on LGBTQ+ inclusive fitness makes his space genuinely welcoming and safe. If you’re looking for a gay personal trainer in Manchester who truly knows his stuff, Adam’s the one for you!

I can’t recommend Adam Emblem enough! As someone who is part of the LGBTQ+ community, it’s amazing to have a fellow LGBTQ+ personal trainer who understands the importance of creating an inclusive, welcoming space 🏳️‍🌈. From the very first session, Adam made me feel comfortable and supported.

The initial consultation was incredibly thorough – we talked about what I did and didn’t like about exercise, my past experiences, and my personal goals 💪. Adam took all of that on board and created a tailored workout plan that fits around my lifestyle, making sure my fitness journey is enjoyable rather than a chore.

We do a mix of in-person sessions in Manchester and online training, with all my routines set on the super easy-to-use Trainerize app. It’s great having the flexibility to train both ways, and it keeps things consistent even when life gets busy.

Adam is so friendly, bubbly, and easy to get along with – the in-person workouts fly by because we’re having such a good time. He’s motivating without being pushy, always making sure I feel confident in the gym, and he gives great advice on everything from strength training to muscle-building workouts 🏋️‍♂️

I’ve only just started my training with Adam, but I’m already feeling more confident and excited for the results to come. If you’re looking for an inclusive personal trainer in Manchester city centre – especially around Piccadilly, Ancoats, or the Northern Quarter – who offers flexible sessions, understands the LGBTQ+ community, and makes training genuinely enjoyable, Adam is your man!

I can’t recommend Adam enough. From day one, he took the time to really learn about me, my lifestyle, my goals, my mindset, even my limitations, and built a fully tailored program that felt like it was made just for me.

What impressed me most was the level of thought and care he put into every part of the process. He didn’t just train me, he studied me to make sure I was getting the best possible results, both physically and mentally. The progress I’ve made is something I never thought possible this fast!! If you're looking for someone who takes your goals seriously and knows how to push you without breaking you — this is your guy.
