About
If you’ve ever thought “I need to get stronger, but I’m not sure where to start” or felt cautious returning after injury, I’m Adam, and I can help.

I’ve spent several years coaching, working with everyday gym-goers and athletes pushing themselves in a variety of training. I help people rebuild their bodies after injury or time away from training, restoring strength, resilience and confidence so they can move and perform at their best.

I specialise in rehabilitation-focused training, supporting people returning from surgery, managing long-term pain or stepping back into sport. Having gone through ACL reconstruction myself, I know how it feels when your body doesn’t respond the way you expect. Every programme prioritises movement quality and smart load management, tailored to your history, capacity and goals, whether hitting personal bests, returning to sport or moving confidently day-to-day.

I deliver one-to-one personal training and online coaching. Sessions focus on functional strength, mobility and performance with programming to build long-term durability and confidence.

Specialisms:

Injury rehab specialist (ACL patient myself)

Strength, weightlifting and mobility expert

Everyday gym comebacks

Athlete programming

Long-term focus on resilience, performance and confidence

My promise: You’ll be coached with purpose, precision and patience, building strength you can rely on.

First attended Adam's Hyrox class back in August. He was new to the gym, so I didn't really know what to expect. But I think I speak for everyone that attended that class that he made a lasting impression. He was loud, energetic and you can tell he is very passionate about his job from the get-go, which made a challenging class very enjoyable.

What stood out to me about Adam as a Personal trainer is that he remembers everyone that attends his classes and he goes out his way respectfully to help them to reach their individual goals. For me my biggest weakness is my self-belief. I think Adam caught onto this very early on when I point blank refused to do box jumps during one of his classes. Slowly over the next couple of weeks he encouraged me to try them by using both humour and positive affirmations. Eventually I got over that mental block and was able to do them. This was thanks to Adam and the supportive environment he creates in his classes. He even went one step further and pushed me to jump the taller box. He did this by only putting out that box during a class without me realising.

I was a point in my fitness journey where I was ready to give up, I wasn't enjoying the gym anymore. But after regularly attending Adam's classes for a while, I felt like I was making progress, and it wasn't just someone telling me. So, I approached Adam after a class to enquire about personal training. He seemed really enthusiastic, and I felt like he believed in me more then I believed in myself. We set quite scary goal of doing an 80 kg barbell squat in 3 months during that first discussion. My PB at the time was 40kg, so to be honest I thought he was a bit delusional. However, I went along with it, he made me a plan to follow, and he would check up on me often without overstepping the mark to see how I was doing. A lot of laughs, PBs and failed burpees were had. He created an environment where I felt comfortable to try new things. In just under two months, I was able to meet that goal. He has helped me to find my confidence and self-belief, something that I haven't had for a while. I will forever be grateful for Adam and the progress he has helped me to make both mentally and physically.

I have been training with Adam for a number of months now after wanting to improve my cardiovascular performance, and to get an overall fitness that I could be proud of working towards an end goal. From the very beginning Adam has made it clear that he was a wealth of knowledge when it comes to personal training and fitness, all of which has been very reassuring and has given me the confidence I need moving forward.

Adam has shown continued professionalism throughout during each of our sessions, and where I have always felt valued and respected at all times. I can confidently say that there has never been a time during our sessions whereby I have felt uncomfortable or that Adam has acted inappropriately. I find that Adam tailors his personal training to meet the specific needs and goals of each of his clients, myself included, in the most effective way possible.

This has been a great experience with a personal trainer so far, as someone who has never used one before, and I can confidently say that I would recommend Adam to anyone in need of a trainer. Adam is approachable, funny, full of the right energy needed for workouts, always supportive, and overall a good person.

I have been training with Adam as my PT since October 2025. I have been a member of Gym Group WGC since May 2025. In the short time between Adam starting at the Gym Group and me hiring him as my PT I cannot stress enough how much my training ramped up attending classes that Adam ran. He not only knows his stuff, but he built a community of Hyrox regulars that have been so beneficial to me. The manner in which he runs his classes is inclusive, motivating and frankly, very hard work (in the way that they should be).
I had engaged with Adam about various injuries I was trying to manage in the classes that he ran, he was incredibly helpful and informative, and gave me some great tips that led to me hiring him as my PT to further rehabilitate and progress. My progress with Adam has been incredible, not just in terms of physical improvement, but my confidence in attending the gym (something I had expressed in my goals) and training independently. He checks in regularly, is always there if I have a question or want to chat something through - and this dynamic really works for me. I have recommended him to several people at the gym and have spoken openly about how much I have gained from our sessions.
Professionally it's hard to argue that Adam is anything but helpful, enthusiastic, welcoming and very good at his job.
On a personal note, I feel I have a very good relationship with Adam, the kind that I have wanted from a PT, we work hard alongside having a laugh, and he puts me at ease in an environment where I have previously felt uncomfortable and overstimulated. He is encouraging and understood my limits and boundaries very early on and has always respected those.
My partner has witnessed the progress I have made in recent months and is also considering hiring Adam as a PT, as they have met and spoken in the gym and already get along very well.

I have been training with Adam Gandon since the 16th of November. From the beginning Adam has been nothing but professional, courteous, and friendly. When I initially told him of my autism when starting sessions with him, he took this in stride and has adjusted sessions in order to accommodate to my autism traits. He is very patient, and you can tell PT is his passion which is evident in the way he trains and organises sessions. In his role as a trainer, he is attentive, encouraging, and clear in his communication. He takes time to explain exercises properly, checks in on how I am feeling physically and mentally, and adapts sessions when needed. I have always found him to be calm, approachable, and professional in the way he conducts himself.

I initially was reserved about getting a male PT at the beginning due to past experiences, however he makes me feel comfortable, safe, and supported during training sessions with him. He creates an environment that feels respectful and motivating, and I have never felt uncomfortable or uneasy in his presence. I trust him as a trainer and value the support and guidance he provides. I would have no reservations in recommending Adam as a PT to anyone and would encourage anyone that wants a serious, hard-working professional PT. From my experience, you won’t get anyone as dedicated and caring as Adam.
