Hi,
I’m Danilo, a Personal Trainer with a background in Clinical Exercise Physiology. I’m from Sardinia, where a healthy, active lifestyle is part of everyday life. That passion for movement led me to study Clinical Exercise and complete a master’s degree to understand how exercise can truly improve people’s lives.

After several years helping regular gym-goers reach their fitness goals, my focus shifted toward supporting people with specific health needs.

Now at Better Gym, I work with older adults, individuals with disabilities, and those recovering from surgery or managing health conditions.

My aim is simple — to help everyone move better, feel stronger, and live healthier through a personal, supportive approach.

Having had Danilo as a personal trainer for the past few weeks, I feel I have much improved in my strength, mobility and confidence. He is patient and shows an empathy with the various physical conditions I have. He is always adaptable and very well prepared for each session. I would recommend him without reservation and will continue to take part in his future training sessions.

Over 5 years ago I was told that my recovery was as complete as it was likely to be. I was told I should work on accepting that I would never walk independently again. This was very difficult and at times I honestly wished I wasn’t still here. Getting my power wheelchair meant I was able to gain at least a partial acceptance of that horrific diagnosis.
A couple of months ago I started going to the gym. Partly as something to do, partly in the hope of losing some weight, and partly to prevent my legs from shrivelling up from lack of use.
4 weeks ago I was offered 8 hours of free physical training with a newly qualified instructor, Danilo, and decided I had nothing to lose.
Today, my last free session with Danilo, I managed the following:
• I stood unsupported for 6 minutes and 23 seconds
• I stood in total unsupported for 10 minutes
• I stood unsupported and did 2 cool down exercises
• I WALKED 4 STEPS UNSUPPORTED!!!
Yes, I am going to pay for more sessions. I am not thinking of doing the Great North Run again, but I have hopes of being able to walk independently in my own home one day at least.
I am already getting compliments on the changes in my arms and legs (still need to work on losing the weight though ha ha). Fitness training planned around my physical limitations, strengths, AND goals. I cannot praise the staff at BetterGym enough, they are not just Physical Training Instructors, in my case they are miracle workers!

I have been working with Danillo as my PT for the last 4 weeks and it has been a fantastic experience. Danilo is highly professional and knowledgeable. He adapts workouts to suit my fitness levels and is brilliant at challenging me to just the right level. Workouts are varied covering a fantastic range of cardio and strength training. After each session I feel great about my progress and always look forward to the next session. Even though it has only been 4 weeks, I am already seeing and feeling results of increased fitness. I am so happy that I made the decision to commit to personal training and delighted to have such a brilliant trainer Danilo to guide and support me.

I have been training with Danilo for the past month and I cannot recommend him highly enough.
After discussing about my goals in the short and medium term, he created the weekly sessions focused on my targets. With a clear tailored made plan, we started working on my weaknesses in order to improve the overall performance.
Danilo is a great motivator, incredibly friendly, and a well prepared PT.
