I have been boxing for over 25 years and moved swiftly into coaching others, from here I developed a passion for helping others start their fitness journey, I gained my level 3 PT qualifications over 6 years ago, since then I have helped many clients not only manage to reach their fitness goals but also helped them with their confidence, in and out of the gym.

Many of my clients are unsure what will work best for them so I ensure they are able to work to their own goals, whether that be weight loss, muscle gain or using the gym with sport specific goals in mind, and I enjoy seeing them not only improving their fitness and overall health but also helping them make the changes to an improved lifestyle.

I want to be there every step of the way, I want to help you discover the joys and benefits of training and I look forward to helping you smash your goals!

Jay is a fantastic coach. We met when he saw me attempting pull-ups in the gym and he came over to share some exercises to help my progression. Prior to meeting Jay, it had taken me a year to do one pull-up. In one month of knowing Jay, I have reached 4 pull-ups, thanks to his guidance. This is just one of many examples showing how Jay is incredibly knowledgeable and he is always ready to help. Like the other reviews mention, his positivity and energy is contagious and being supported by him has massively boosted my own confidence in my abilities and my general attitude towards training. I had been going to the gym for three years and felt fed up of seeing no progress, now I am so much more driven and invested in health and fitness. Jay pretty much tailors your workout to your goals but he will also be honest and provide alternative suggestions if he feels it is needed, using his expertise. I honestly cannot fault him as a PT, the only thing I wish I did was train with him earlier!

Jay is an amazing coach and PT. I have started training with him about 2 years ago and his passion for everything fitness and weight lifting has been contagious. I have always trained in different disciplines throughout all my life however his coaching style has been able to completely change my perception and the importance of keeping my body and mind healthy and I completely change my lifestyle to accommodate training and nutrition as advised and coached by Jay. Highly recommend. All his session are also a great laugh. 😃

I have been training with Jay for the last month after he gave me some tips on my squat form - within two minutes of talking to him I had learnt so much about my technique. I have been weight training for a number of years and have always felt pretty confident in the gym, however, Jay has taught me so much in such a short space of time and I can already see and feel the difference - I feel like I am in the best shape I have ever been in! He is really friendly and approachable and always has time to chat and help when I need it. He puts 100% effort into my program and is always really positive and encouraging. He also offers guidance and advice on nutrition to go alongside the training programs he puts together which is really helpful. I am totally hooked now and excited for the progress to come! Can’t recommend him enough, thanks Jay!

Jay is a wonderful PT and person! I instantly felt drawn to the way he teaches fitness and approaches the gym.
I really like how informative the sessions are and how high energy it is.
He really really knows his stuff and his passion is transparent and infectious!

Jay is an inspiring and talented coach who got me hooked after 2 minutes !
Not only is he a brilliant boxer with vast subject knowledge he is a formidable coach and weight training expert . I can’t believe how much I learned from Jay in just one hour - Hs strength is in helping you discover your own hidden strength and power . As a former fencer I knew I would love boxing but I never knew that my mind and will power would improve as a result of training . Jay has made me feel brilliant about what I can achieve . I am deeply grateful as I now will never give up on myself ! I felt so young and powerful throughout, this guy is a breath of fresh air - I cannot recommend him enough !

I have been training with Jay for nearly 2 years. He is friendly, helpful, approachable and made me feel at ease instantly. Initially i wanted to be stronger and healthier. Very quickly it turned into my passion due to Jay constantly pushing me through my sessions, setting realistic achievable goals, supporting me with nutrition/macros, pushing and motivating me at times when i wanted to quit. I have been working with Jay for a number of years now; when I first started in the gym I wasn't sure what would work best for me but Jay really helped me understand how everything worked and how it would work best for my weight loss. In the last few years I have overhauled my diet and exercise - I understand now that I don't need to starve myself, or spend hours on a treadmill - now I eat well and feel great. Jay is friendly and has been so motivational, he has checked in and pushed me when needed.
