I’m Joe Aliker, a UKSCA-accredited Strength & Conditioning Coach and Level 3 Personal Trainer with over a decade of experience helping people unlock their potential — from beginners finding confidence in the gym to athletes chasing peak performance.
Originally from Cambridge, I grew up immersed in sport before turning my passion for human performance into a full-time career. Over the years, I’ve seen one thing proven time and again: when you train with structure, purpose, and progression, everything changes.

I did Joe’s free Body MOT at One Leisure Huntingdon and found it really valuable. It was great to know my numbers properly and understand that what I’m doing is working. I was looking for a personal trainer for a while. Looks like I was waiting for the best. Jo has been fantastic since we started the partnership. His training methods were tailored to my ability. He carefully analysed my needs and has worked on each aspect. He started easy to keep me engaged and feel good about my body and strength. He has stepped my training difficulty up and matched it with the demands that my job puts on my body. His pleasant demeanour and constant encouragement makes the most difficult challenges in the gym very easy to accomplish. I wasn’t sure if personal training was for me but I had lost focus and direction in my training and eating plan, was attending the gym 4-5 days a week with no further improvements, I was stuck…..
So I signed up with Joe and haven’t looked back.
Joe has given me the confidence to step outside of my comfort zone and to train smarter not longer, with improved results already.
The programs are interesting with good variations and the right level of challenge.

I needed support following a full knee replacement to strengthen my leg muscles and return to exercise having been out of action for over 12 weeks.
I contacted Joe and we have now worked together improving my muscle strength, movement and fitness,
I found Joe to be very approachable, patient and understanding of my issues. He has provided options for exercise to support my knee bend and the results are definitely there to be seen.

I’d attended the gym for a number of years, pretty much doing the same routine. I got talking to Joe and he asked me what my aims were and my concern as a man of my late 60’s was to improve my flexibility and strength. Although I do not get to the gym as frequently as I would like, with Joe’s training plan I feel like I am making progress . Joe encourages me to push myself without overdoing it. Joe is teaching me good technique varying my plan on most visits. If you are looking for a great coach I would recommend you contact Joe.

I honestly can’t recommend Joe enough. I hadn’t stepped foot in a gym for a couple of years and I was looking to build confidence and momentum and to create a 3 day a week plan. I was nervous about getting started again, but Joe made the whole process so easy. I followed his breakthrough method which I really recommend as this gave me the momentum to get back into fitness. I'm already down 2kg after a month and my clothes already fit so much better.

Joe's program 'The Breakthrough Method' has been fantastic. I had been doing the same routine over and over againand really needed a change up. I felt nervous about trying anything new and genuinely believed free weights were ‘not for people my age’, so I never pushed myself beyond what felt safe and familiar.

I’m abit anxious in the gym and still rely on Joe a lot, but he’s honestly been great. He’s patient, supportive, and never makes me feel stupid for needing reassurance (which I do… a lot). He gently pushes me when I can handle it and helps me build confidence without pressure. I feel safe, supported, and way more comfortable than when I started. Would definitely recommend, especially if the gym makes you nervous.
