I came to Karen with a goal of lifting 23kg so that I could handle my own suitcase at airports. Eight weeks later, with Karen’s expert guidance and endless patience, I was handling my suitcase with ease, having gained considerable strength. Thank you so much for this Karen and thank you for my new biceps. Your professionalism and great sense of fun will be so missed.

Karen has been absolutely amazing!
After a knee injury I lost all confidence in myself. Karen showed me how I can rebuild my strength doing small activities daily, I couldn’t even go down the stairs. But Karen never gave up on me and was there every step, I don’t know what I would have done if I hadn’t of found her!
Thank you Karen!

The universe sent me Karen earlier this year. In a relatively short space of time I'd gone from someone who did gym classes (including my favourite dance based workouts) maybe five days a week, and walked everyday, to someone who couldn't walk, couldn't sit comfortably at my desk at work and some days had so much shoulder pain I'd avoid washing my hair. After becoming frustrated with trying to follow a list of exercises emailed to me after an initial GP referred physio assessment, I'd signed up for a trial PT session at the gym. This was a big deal for me - despite having had a membership for years, I'd never ventured through those double doors to the 'scary room'! :) On the day, the PT who I was supposed to see had called in sick but I hadn't been made aware. It just so happened that Karen was at the front desk and I'm pretty sure she saw something in me that made her realise how much I needed help and she v kindly gave up her break time to do a mini session with me.
It's difficult to put into words how much difference her act of kindness made to me - mentally, emotionally and after a few more sessions, physically. She instantly put me at ease, understood what was going on with my various pain points (and perimenopause gripes) and, after months of being scared of any sort of movement making things worse, Karen made me realise I could not only still do quite a lot of exercise safely. but she could work with me to make sure those exercises were going to improve my strength and ultimately reduce my pain levels. Karen has dealt with me turning up in dark moods convinced I was going backwards in my recovery, and in over-stimulated, stressed out over-compensating hyper moods (and everything in between) and it's never phased her once. She just instinctively resets, works her magic and every single time I walk out of that gym upright and in a much better mood than when I went in. She's done her best to build my confidence in going into the gym without her and equip me to continue on the path she's set me on, but I am seriously going to miss her being beside me.
Invest your time in this incredible trainer and the payback will far exceed your expectations.

As a person that until of recent would not feel comfortable entering a gym let alone any type of workout, Karen soon changed that fear.

I chose Karen as my personal trainer due to her outgoing personality which helped me feel at ease.
It was also comforting that she was of an age that I could connect with !!
Karen has been nothing but fabulous!!
Warm, friendly, humorous and extremely professional.

Her tips and encouragement have enabled me to get the very best results from my time at the gym, not just during our PT Sessions.

So all in all Karen has managed to change an old man with a huge phobia of both the Gym environment and low self esteem into a person who now enjoys entering the gym environment.

Karen always has a smile and time for people, but I’ll always remember her for her amazing sense of humour !
Be prepared ……

12 months after meeting Karen I’m now a more confident and healthier person.

Thank you and you will be missed.

I chose Karen as my personal trainer because of her specialism in rehabilitation.
Karen has been simply wonderful and her warmth and friendliness have helped me feel more relaxed in a gym setting! (which
was completely out of my comfort zone!)
I trust her 100% to give me the right guidance. She has advised me of the right exercises, what to do and not do on the gym equipment and really cares about my recovery!
It is such a shame she is leaving our gym and I will miss our sessions, her caring nature and encouragement.

I’ve genuinely enjoyed every session with Karen. ❤️She’s incredibly motivating and knowledgeable, and I’ve become noticeably stronger since training with her. She always explains movements clearly and makes sure my form is safe and effective, and she knows exactly when to push me and when to support me. Her energy makes every session enjoyable and we always have a giggle 🤭

She’s taught me mobility exercises that have really helped improve my balance—things I’d never tried before. Beyond the workouts, I’ve learned how to eat healthier and how to use protein more in my diet (including fun ideas like making ice cream from protein drinks!).💕

PROGRESS OVER PERFECTION
Karen is an inspiration, her knowledge is vast and she has been able to guide me to train effectively and efficiently. Her sense of humour (her laugh is infectious) and ability to communicate to bring out the best during a session is astounding.
One to one and even couple sessions makes me/us work out to the very best of our ability
She will kick your arse when you need it but is compassionate, supportive, and intuitive enabling progress at times of doubt.
Everyone needs a Karen on their journey 👊🏻
Detailed plans, explained in a way to be understood, making sense of hype and fads, supported by research and knowledge that’s relevant to YOU
If Karen could be bottled, I’m in….!

Started at 16, had Karen as a PT for two (and a bit) years. I have, ADHD, autism, hyper mobility and scolosis and she has always been very accommodating and helpful.

She was great with her routine for scoliosis, which helped the rest of my body counteract the effects of the scoliosis. Which I had access to alongside other more generalist workouts (my personal favourite being cables).

Aside from just the PT work she is also an overall friendly person who you can have great conversations with.

I’ve been training with Karen for the past few months, and the experience has been outstanding. She is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely invested in helping me succeed. Every session is well-planned, challenging, and tailored to my goals.

What I appreciate most is Karen’s ability to motivate without ever being pushy. She explains proper form, offers helpful corrections, and always makes sure the workouts feel safe and effective. I’ve seen real progress—in strength, confidence, and overall fitness—and I actually look forward to every session.

If you’re looking for a trainer who is supportive, skilled, and committed to your success, I can’t recommend Karen enough!

I was recommended Karen as a rehab pt to support my daughter who needed rehabilitation for chronic pain and knee issues.

Karen has supported my daughter challenging and supporting her to improver her mobility. She’s an exceptional personal trainer who brings creativity, compassion, and expertise to every session. She’s managed to engage my teenage daughter in exercise—something we never thought possible—and has helped her build strength in her legs to compensate for her condition. The progress has been so significant that it’s been recognised by hospital physiotherapists and even a consultant. Our loss is definitely Herefords gain.

With Karen’s help and support I have turned from a nervous and inconsistent gym member, (gym user would be an overstatement), dragged down by menopause, to a slim, toned and confident person who takes life in their stride. She is so much more than a PT, she is the person who can find you find the best version of yourself, with no judgement, just making exercise fun and something you want to do rather than a punishment that you feel you have to do.

I started working with Karen two months ago which is a relatively short time but she has already had such a positive impact on my TKR rehabilitation. Prior to meeting Karen I was overwhelmed with contradictory advice and see sawing from both over and under exercising and becoming increasingly despondent. From my first session with Karen my head came up and I had hope and motivation and focus. Karen is a professional with expertise on post operative rehabilitation who works with the whole person, the emotions as well as the physical She listens and understands the wider picture. She adapts the sessions to address identified developing issues. Karen’s knowledge and focus on form has taught me well to positively and safely use the gym. I am pleased for Karen in her positive move to Hereford but personally I feel I had so much more to learn. As has been said already; Hereford’s gain.

You won’t find a better PT!

I started my fitness journey 5 months ago and Karen was recommended to me due her rehab training. Several years into a knee replacement I wanted to ensure I was safe in the gym and it was the best decision I ever made. I want to express my deepest appreciation for the incredible support and expertise and confidence Karen has given me throughout my fitness journey.

Her knowledge, patience, and ability to tailor every session to my specific needs have been absolutely pivotal. She struck the perfect balance between challenging me and keeping me safe, always knowing exactly when to push and when to adapt. What could have been a daunting process became genuinely enjoyable thanks to her encouragement and her fantastic sense of humour and we laughed our way through our sessions. I will definitely miss her smiling face at the gym.

While I’m sad to see her move on to a new role, I’m incredibly grateful for everything she has helped me achieve. She leaves behind a stronger, more confident version of me — and that is a testament to her skill, dedication, and care. Any team will be lucky to have her.

Thank you for everything, Karen and for converting me to a gym lover. You will be truly missed.

A few years ago, I went to a Circuit class at my local gym. I was so impressed with the instructor and the way she explained the exercises to ensure we got the maximum workout and no injury. She also did the whole session with us. After the class I introduced myself and asked her if she was a Personal Trainer, that instructor was Karen Hunt. She had just qualified. I was Karen client and she has become my ride or die. We laughed together whilst training and I have learnt how to do the exercises properly and stay in form. She leads by example and will encourage, but also push you. It is very sad to lose her as a PT; I feel jealous of the new client, treat her well. She is precious to us in Wiltshire. BEST PT EVER !!!

I have no words... Karen is simply the best. She laughs modestly when I describe her as an angel come directly from heaven, but I actually mean it!
She has given me hope & inspiration following my knee replacement when I was in a dark place & literally didn't know which way to turn.
My road to recovery will be ongoing for a long while yet, but Karen has got me stronger & believing that there will be light at the end of this tunnel.
Her words of wisdom reminding me of where I've come from pre op to now will continue to ring in my ears every time the gym calls.
I will miss Karen greatly. She is truly one of a kind ❤️

Karen is a true professional who cares so much about your progress - she has a great balance between pushing you further than you would by yourself and working within your own capabilities. Excellent for strength training, and given she's training for a marathon, her cardio isn't too bad either! Highly recommended.

I would thoroughly recommend Karen as a Personal Trainer and Fitness Professional. She listens to your needs and takes time to tailor workouts that match those and offers progression to improve. She is encouraging while building your confidence to push yourself knowing that you are being coached by someone who is always there to correct your form and keep you safe. Her knowledge of how the body works and therefore what training is going to be effective is impressive and at the same time her sessions are delivered with fun, humour, pace and variety so are never boring and keep things fresh. Hereford, you are so lucky to be getting her!

I met Karen in the gym changing room and she said to me I see you here all the time but are you seeing results for your effort and I wasn't and I had lost hope that i could make changes to my weight and mobility. I have trained with Karen once a week and by myself twice a week, I have consistently lost weight, a year later i am 2.5 stone lighter, my mobility has improved , i love coming to the gym and my training sessions with Karen are the highlight of my week, we have great fun and she has a wicked sense of humour. I have rheumatoid arthritis and Karen enabled me to feel safe using all different equipment in a way that was manageable for my joints and prevented injury. You couldn't ask for a better PT and she has truly changed my life.

After many years out of action due to disability and starting back at the gym I felt I needed a PT to make sure I was doing the right things and doing them safely.
Karen was the first choice due to her experience in rehabilitation, along with recommendations from the gym team.
She has been fantastic, very friendly yet professional and has a great sense of humour.
She has been pivotal in reigniting my enjoyment of going to the gym again and with minimal adaptations required despite being an amputee.
Karen is top of my list for any PT recommendation.

Karen is the perfect mix of personable and professional. I really enjoy working with her in my journey towards rehab after my Total Knee Replacement. She is helping me to realise my goal both mentally and physically. Wonderful human being!

Karen is a very good personal trainer. Very easy to get on with and a good knowledge of how to help people with disabilities. I am waiting for a knee operation and she has help me to prepare for the operation. My physio was very pleased with my progress.

Karen is the rare mix of warm and razor-sharp: explains the why and gives sound practical advice. She watches form like a hawk, and adapts sessions around niggles without derailing a session. Her advice is practical and evidence-based, and she’s great at programming rehab exercises or just simple movements to re-balance the weak links. Since working with Karen I feel my lower back is much less prone to twinging and spasming.
She has also spent time working with my son (18) who has a range of health problems and is diagnosed with mild autism and ADHD. Initially he was very unsure about the whole thing, but they have struck up a fantastic relationship frequently discussing everything from gaming to current events between sets. Karen has really helped him find confidence in the gym so he is able to work following the prescribed programs solo, but he also enjoys the (now) bi-weekly one on one sessions that focus on supporting his scoliosis.

Karen was pivotal in my pre left knee replacement strengthening routine giving me the confidence gain better stability in all my biomechanics making sure I was well prepared for the operation giving me the best chance to recovery.
After the operation Karen was like a beacon of light helping me to the road of recovery and encouraging me along the way and I was up and about within weeks of my operation and back in the gym building on what she had already given me I could whole heartedly say without the support help and guidance from Karen I would be still struggling to get around from full knee replacement to waking around Cuba (holiday) within 4 and a half months.
Thank you very much Karren for all your help and support from myself and Aeron

I chose Karen as my personal trainer due to her specialism in rehabilitation. It was also reassuring that she was not dissimilar in age to me (albeit a bit younger!).
Karen has been simply fabulous!!!
Warm, friendly, humour outs and uber professional.
Her tips and structured advice has enabled me to get the very best results from my time at the gym and Karen has removed the fear I had about exercise following my brain injury.
I will miss Karen’s smiling face and words of encouragement and mostly her wicked sense of humour. The gym just won’t be the same without you Karen. Our loss is most certainly your next employers gain.
Good luck in your new job and with the London marathon xxxx
