I’m Katharine, and my mission is to coach in a way that is adapted to the human experience.

Your body is not a machine: we all age, we have emotions, stresses and demands outside the gym, and for women, our hormones fluctuate and may also be affected by pregnancy.

For me fitness is about feeling at home in your body. It's okay if you can’t do a pull up; it’s natural if you feel daunted by the prospect of standing on the start line of your first 10k. I want to help you build real strength, and that’s about something deeper than a time on a clock or a number on a scale. As we work together our goal will be for you to feel capable and confident in your body.

Your aims are very close to my heart. My background as a former maths teacher, my experience as an aerial instructor and my studies in Dance Movement Psychotherapy have led me to be a coach who combines structured progression and empathy. Whether you’re training for Hyrox or to lift your grandchildren without pain, my goal is simple: I want to help you be proud of what you’ve achieved.

As someone who was incredibly unfit and very self conscious about where my body was at after 10 years of always putting my career first, I was very hesitant to even go in a gym let alone work out. Katharine has been so patient and encouraging and I would absolutely recommend her. I am really enjoying training with her, I can feel progress every session which is helping me stay motivated. She is so skilled at adapting exercises and breaking them down so I have a diverse programme of exercises I can manage. I also really value the fact Katharine has genuinely wanted to understand and engage with my lifestyle and has built a programme that I can genuinely stick to and fit around a demanding city job.

I am a 73 year old man who has been going to the Gosling gym for the past three years.I have been working with Katharine for 12 sessions. After my initial assessment, I have been introduced to equipment which I always considered to be outside my comfort zone. Well how wrong could I have been! I have learned about correct posture. For real knowledge of the body (men and women’s), motivation, and lasting results, Katherine is the absolute best choice. She’s really approachable, so understanding too which makes her such a great PT no matter what level you’re at. I’ve had so much fun in my sessions too and even though she has pushed me, it’s always felt like fun as well!
