With experience coaching at high-performance, results driven gyms, including Ultimate Performance and David Lloyd. I’m passionate about helping people become stronger, fitter, feeling better, and more confident while building habits that realistically fit into their lifestyle.

Alongside my coaching background, I’ve competed and trained in multiple sports throughout my life, including American football in California, basketball, athletics, and HYROX. This has given me a deep understanding of performance, movement, and what it truly takes to improve both physically and mentally.

Matthew is hands down the best trainer I have ever had. I wasn’t sure how to get back into a fitness routine after a long break and I found it all a bit daunting.
I asked Matt if he had the space to take on a client who was a middle-aged woman, had never lifted weights in her life and whose basic goals were stamina, some weight loss/toning and figuring out a routine that was enjoyable and easy to fit into daily life. I had seen the massive difference he had made to my husband’s fitness and thought I would reach out.
What I appreciated right away was Matt’s calm demeanour. He is knowledgeable and cheerful. He always manages to strike the perfect balance between being encouraging, while slowly and steadily dialling up the pressure so you push yourself to try harder and do better. I was lifting heavier weights, doing more push ups and longer planks than I thought was I was capable of. Not once did I feel embarrassed or inadequate (excuses I had previously used to drop out of classes/stop using other trainers). Matt has really helped build my confidence. For the first time in a long time I actually knew what I was doing in the gym and I could really feel the difference.
He is truly invested in his client’s success. Irrespective of your fitness level, prior narratives about your abilities, age, goals — Matt’s your guy.

Matthew really knows his stuff. He sorted out my form, pushed me to go heavier when I was hesitant, and kept the sessions varied so they never got stale. Mix of weights and bodyweight work, and always pitched at the right level. Genuinely look forward to more training with him. Highly recommend!
