Hi, my name is Matt and I'm proud to be a part of the personal training team here at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Centre.

My goal is to aid clients in their journey to become the best version of themselves both physically and mentally through the medium of exercise.

I've always has a passion for sport and training. Playing rugby from a young age for my school, local clubs (winning the county cup) and the district and now playing regularly for the 1st XV of one of the clubs in my area. Alongside this I also trained myself to pass military selection.

Working with me will be educational but enjoyable, this journey will push you to your limits but never be detrimental in order to reach optimim benefit.

We will analyse your fitness goals and evaluate your current fitness levels to tailor-make an training programme that helps you achieve your initial aims and much more.

Whether you want to lose weight, feel more confident in your own skin, or build muscle, together we will be able to develop and plan to reach success.

I was with Matt for 5 months. I had a hip injury and was told to do low impact exercise. Matt sorted out a training plan and helped me to achieve my goal of getting back to running.

Throughout this time my confidence and strength grew. I personally would recommend Matt as your personal trainer because he always asks how your doing and works around his sessions if your injured or if your not feeling a hundred percent.

Matt will explain a lot, this is down to him telling you how your progressing and going through each exercise thoroughly. If you want something achieving Matt is the person to go to.

I was genuinely impressed with his services and I would like to thank Matt for everything that he helped me with. Genuinely he is a friendly, caring and fun person to train with who does make you work hard.

Through Matt providing supervised exercise in the gym, and guidance enabling me to increase my endurance from 5km to 10km over 4 weeks, without incurring injury, I achieved my goal of completing an 11km run for charity. I have been using Matt as a personal trainer for the last 5 months having been out of the gym since the covid lockdown. Matt listens to any physical problems that you have and tailors your program accordingly. Once I started my programme Matt continually checked my form advising where changes were needed to get the best from the exercise. The programme is regularly updated as part of your monthly review and then agrees what to do next. On a personal note Matt is a warm and friendly person who makes you work hard but keeps it fun, he will always try to be flexible when you need to change a session or have an injury or weakness that means you can’t do what was planned. I would highly recommend that you sign up.

I’ve been training with Matt for 2 weeks now. During that time I’ve noticed progress taking place. His approach is energetic and he does like to talk a lot. Sometimes during exercises this can be a bit annoying. But the sessions seem to be working, even after just 2 weeks.
