With a strong background in strength training, body recomposition, and holistic wellness, I help clients unlock their full physical and mental potential. Having trained with Monty for the last couple of months now I can safely say it’s been nothing but a positive experience. From the beginning, he made me feel comfortable and supported and as someone who was completely gym shy this was a game changer for my confidence.
I work shifts and am constantly having to reschedule and change session timings - Monty is always easygoing and flexible and doesn’t let my schedule get in the way of consistency.

I've (rather terribly) managed chronic back pain for decades. Fear of hurting myself, plus a general apathy-if-not-aversion to exercise built up to a near-phobia of the gym. And yet, a series of big 'ol life events has managed to shift my perspective, adjust my priorities, and turn anxiety into determination. I want to make my body strong. I'm prioritizing myself. I want to live better.
Enter Monty. Holy $&%@ he's brilliant. Cannot recommend him highly enough.
Firstly, he's a genuinely nice, funny, approachable, not-at-all-intimidating person. Straight out of the gate, he took the time to listen and really understand my background and goals. Honestly, at first read the plan he put together for me was a tiny bit terrifying. Bench press? Me? Romanian Deadlift? WTF is that and why does it have such a brutal name? But for each exercise, Monty's broken it down. He's so calm and clear in his explanations and demonstrations. He's massively patient, which is reassuring — because learning new stuff is HARD. But Monty's taken as much time as I need to learn each new thing. And he's been as excited as I am when I finally do figure things out! He's managed to push me outside my comfort zone, but always with enough caution to make sure I'm not going to hurt myself.
Monty's obviously well-qualified. He knows so much, and manages to make all the mechanics and science really accessible. Perfect for a beginner, but I expect he'd be just as solid a trainer for folks who actually, already know what they're doing.
Wait, and lastly — I should say that Monty's somehow, very surprisingly, made the gym fun? Maybe it's as much a factor of the incredible satisfaction of seeing real, incremental results. After only a couple months, I'm already far more comfortable and confident in my body. I can move in ways I hadn't thought possible. My body hurts way less in the old-age/unfit, bad ways. I'm getting noticeably stronger week by week.
I would't be doing any of this without Monty. I trust him. And I actually look forward to going to the gym.

Monty set me an ongoing plan, training with him effectively for a few weeks now. I have combined eating healthy, strength training and aerobic fitness. He has motivated me to stay on track and I am achieving the results I wanted finally at 40!

Even though I was already quite thin and going to the gym regularly, his advice was spot on. Thanks to his guidance, I’ve gained glutes and shoulder width/strength, which I honestly didn’t think was possible for my body. From 45 kgs, I now weigh 52 kgs after just 6 months, which completely took away the frustration of not seeing results before + no more back pain + feeling even better. I don’t regret investing in this PT at all so highly recommended !

Monty has been my first experience working with a personal trainer. I’ve previously gone to the gym sporadically and not really known what I’m doing, but now he’s helped me establish a routine that I really enjoy. From the very beginning, he made me feel comfortable and capable. My confidence has grown massively, I never thought I’d be lifting the weights that I am now!
