I’m Rae, I’ve been working in the fitness industry for almost 10 years and I tailor my coaching to help women and the LGBTQ+ community on their fitness journey.

Training is integral to my gender identity and helped me rebuild my relationship with my own body post-pregnancy.

Low confidence or not conforming to gender norms is often a barrier to people’s access to training and I want to change that.

So I’ve now been going to see Rach for 1:1 sessions for 2 months now and before this I was always worried about going to the gym but she’s given me the confidence to go to the gym but she’s also shown me how to use the equipment properly, also with having a bad knee Rach has also worked around that and shown me different techniques to strength my knee! I can already feel the benefits from doing my workouts! Rach always manages to keep me motivated and always makes sure I’m comfortable with whatever we are doing!

Rachel was friendly and professional from the word go. I suffered with a prolapse after having a baby and was petrified of exercising and making things worse.
Rachel was thorough and worked at the right pace with me to give me the confidence to go back in the gym and feel like I’d achieved something.

I had a knee replacement last November and as a result I realized that I was loosing strength in my other leg. I contacted Rachel with a view to overcoming this. I was looking to get back into the gym after months off with Covid when I saw Rachel's advert for her re-engage workshop. Unfortunately the time didn't suit so I booked weekly 1:1 sessions instead.
Rachel has patiently worked with me for three months now, gradually increasing the workouts, helping remobilise following a previous injury and correcting some errors in technique whilst regularly checking how I am. Perhaps not the easiest task for any PT but I am now back to attending the gym regularly with my first goals ticked off.

Rachel’s body conditioning class is focused on what the name of the class says which is ‘body conditioning’.

More classes for Rachel would be brilliant - she completely gets the control that’s needed in body conditioning and is totally smashing it.

It’s been years since I’ve done a gym class, I’ve always found them overwhelming and super nerve wracking! Rachel was really quick to put me at ease. She’s clear in her way of explaining the exercises, and always gives alternatives to either make them more difficult or easier depending on ability. Spiralling towards the big 50 I decided it was time to prioritise my physical health, fitness and general well-being so joined the waterside. Purely by chance Rachel did all my inductions I booked on to and I’m so glad she did as it’s made my first 2 months membership so much more purposeful, focussed and successful. She has an extremely reassuring and encouraging style of personal training which has built my confidence and enjoyment of being in the gym. She has helped me in a variety of ways to make the best progress I possibly can through advice, development of a programme and her fantastic re-engage workshop. She is extremely knowledgeable and experienced and this is evident from the advice and training she delivers. She has had such a positive impact on my health and fitness I have now arranged for her to run her re-engage class for a group of teachers in the school I work in. We have 15 enthusiastic members of staff signed up for her weekly class which is incredible. Thank you Rachel!

Rachel has been working with me for the last 4 months. In this time she has changed how I think about exercise, and really helped me understand how gradual improvement and consistently is considerably better then quick wins.

She has been extremely patient throughout and has taken things at the right pace for me always pushing for me to do more, but always in a supportive and friendly environment.

Outside of our sessions I now have a really structured plan to follow which helps me improve on my overall fitness. She’s also helped me understand the importance of nutrition. Rachel is an amazing coach, she is knowledgable and understanding and actually listens to you. She gave me programmes to follow for when I was in the gym outside our sessions so I was confident and I knew what I was doing and could focus on getting it done!
