With years of experience as a personal trainer, class instructor, and performance coach, I’ve worked with people from all walks of life, from those starting their fitness journey to experienced gym-goers and athletes. My approach focuses on creating sustainable habits, building strength, and developing a body that not only looks good but moves and feels great.

My sporting background and passion for athletic performance have shaped my coaching philosophy, blending strength and conditioning principles with practical, goal-focused training. I’m committed to helping every client find the right balance between training, nutrition, and recovery, so they can reach their goals in a realistic and enjoyable way.

I continue to expand my knowledge in exercise science, athletic performance, recovery, and nutrition to deliver the highest standard of coaching. My mission is simple, to help you look, feel, and perform at your best in the gym.

We have been training with Rhys since just before Christmas and we have seen a huge improvement in our confidence and abilities in the gym! Before starting our sessions with Rhys, we used to complete the same routine in the corner of the gym because we had no idea how to use any of the machines. Because of the support given to us in our PT sessions, we can now confidently carry out our workouts independently, which we are really proud of! Rhys is a very patient and knowledgeable trainer and we always feel well-supported and relaxed in our sessions. He gives us very clear directions and positive encouragement, while also holding us accountable! We’ve come a long way in our exercise journey and we know that we need to focus more on nutrition, which Rhys has given us lots of information on. Thank you for all of your support Rhys!

After many months of feeling stuck in a rut and thinking about working with a PT and, having really enjoyed many of Rhys’s group exercise classes, I finally plucked up enough courage to book in, and will be forever glad that I did!

I’d only ever run or done classes before and felt totally out of my comfort zone in the gym so was nervous about starting, plus I didn’t really have a specific ‘goal’ in mind so worried it wouldn’t ‘work’ because of that; I just wanted to feel slimmer, stronger, fitter – just better.

Rhys was fab, has such a lovely approach, takes the time to explain the plan for each session, exercises, and reasons for doing them clearly and confidently, his commitment and passion for coaching is infectious and totally distracted me from the terror of those first few gym visits!

I immediately felt I was in trusted and safe hands; such easy company, none of the awkward moments that I had dreaded, just great company and great coaching.

Instead of avoiding the gym, I genuinely looked forward to each session, now some months on, I feel happy and confident enough to go alone.

But working with Rhys has helped me with so much more than just fitness and gym visits.

Conversations with Rhys made my really look hard and consider my relationship with food, and what my body needed.
His knowledgeable and subtle approach on this really helped me to consider and ultimately fix, what I now look back at, as a period of really disordered eating. Since working with Rhys, I can confidently say that my whole relationship with food is so much better, I have learned so much about the importance of correct nutrition and hydration, and I feel more in control and so much healthier!

I can’t really put my finger on what, or how – but Rhys has most definitely helped my get a lost little piece of me back, no longer stuck in a rut but feeling confident, happy and strong; my whole mindset changed, no longer obsessively chasing ‘slim’ or x stone or pounds, but finding comfort in feeling stronger, firmer, fitter and ‘enough’.

Working with Rhys has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for both my physical and mental health. When I first started, I was focused on just losing weight and learning proper technique — but what I’ve gained goes so far beyond that.
