I’ve been in the sports and fitness industry for over 10 years now with 7 of those years here at Better Gym East Village. I work with a range of people from beginners to professional athletes.

I have experiences working for a premier league football team, marathon runners, boxers and Paralympic athletes. I have earned a masters degree in exercise physiology and a bachelors in strength and conditioning.

My goal is to help people unlock their true potential and create a sustainable, happy lifestyle for the long term.

Sean was an excellent trainer. He has unparalleled technical knowledge from his qualifications which he puts to great effect in training programmes and sessions. His programmes are tailored to exactly what you want and need - he’s constantly thinking about whether there is anything that could work better for you. He shows up to sessions ready to motivate, teach, and guide you meaning it’s a pleasure to train with Sean (as well as highly entertaining!).

I started with Sean after years of being underweight and not being able to gain weight or muscle - after four months with Sean I’ve gained muscle and confidence in the gym. My friends compliment me on how much healthier I look and I feel a lot more comfortable working out alone. Thanks Sean!

Sean is an excellent trainer, he perfectly balances the intensity of your workout program; it is never too hard that you don't want to do it, but always hard enough to achieve results. He has expertly identified the causes of my injuries and seamlessly integrated lighter exercises to strengthen the affected tissue with heavier training for my overall fitness. As well as being very approachable and personable he is also by far the most qualified personal trainer I have ever met. I thoroughly recommend Sean to anyone who wants to see real progress, especially anyone who appreciates understanding the effect and reason behind the exercises.

I started a boxing camp with Sean and he has been an amazing trainer. Sean is very professional, knowledgeable, and pragmatic. In the 12 weeks camp, he designed the whole boxing programme in a scientific and systematic way and always found ways to change plans so that we can learn new stuff and never felt bored! I told Sean at the beiginning of the camp that my goal was to improve my upper body, and then he spent extra time to help me design bespoke training plans and reviewed them as we go along. I must say I didn’t expect that and really appreciate it. The boxing camp is finished but I will continue training with Sean, and I have no hesitation to recommend to everyone.

I’ve been training with Sean for around 2 years - I initially planned to get personal training for a couple of months to help with structured workouts and form. 2 years later and I’ve seen Sean almost every week and lost almost half my body fat as a result!

I was concern before speaking to Sean that I would get worked to my absolute limit and hate it but I was pleasantly surprised. Whilst the sessions are never easy, it’s helped to push me to limits I never thought I was capable of and have made me really enjoy the gym and exercise. The monthly plans have given me extra motivation and Sean is happy for me to input if I want to focus on something specific or learn something new.

I’d have absolutely no hesitation to recommend Sean - I actually have to a few friends already.

I started training with Sean after taking a long gap away from the gym due to injury. Sean was excellent in restarting my strength training in a gradual but steady way. This helped a lot with rebuilding my fitness without re-injuring myself. Working with Sean also helped ensure that I was using correct form and technique. He is encouraging and pleasant to train with and he always finds new exercises to keep things interesting and challenging.

When I decided to contact Sean for a consultation, I had just signed up to run the London Marathon but I could only run 3km, with great difficulty. I knew I needed help but I had no idea what kind of help or even where to begin. My husband and I started training with Sean after the first consultation itself because we trusted in his expertise, his approach to training. His attitude towards health and fitness. He helped us understand the very basics from postures, to different muscle groups, different diet types and gave us tailored advice every time. He always gave us his unwaivered attention every time (even though it was two people he had to focus on) and he continued to give us advice throughout the training sessions and sometimes even after. As I marathon date drew closer, he even tailored special training, stretching and programmes for me. Needless to say, only with his help, I can now say that I am a marathon runner. I compete in many running competitions now and have been training with Sean since 2016 and love every bit of it still. Even after all these years of training together, he still brings fresh programmes to the table and is constantly thinking of how to improve our technique, power, strength day by day. His plans are very detailed and he explains the methodology to you as he plans them so you don’t feel lost and it also empowers you to continue the plan in the future. He is the best for whether you have a specific goal and need to get there within a set amount of time or you want to train with consistency and improve over time. All his clients are now his friends because of the trust they’ve put in him over the time they’ve trained with him and we are one of those lucky few. Thanks Sean: our trainer, our friend :) :)

Two years ago I decided to wanted to build muscle and strength. Without any weightlifting experience, I was clueless when I am at the gym. I approached Sean and explained to him what I want to do and Sean has definitely tailored my plan according to my needs. I started off with upper body workout and did not do any legs. Sean managed to change my mind to go for leg exercise and I must say I really enjoy doing the legs workout. I have now gained more confidence lifting weights in the gym, learned a lot on techniques and definitely felt stronger and bigger. I am still training with Sean and I will definitely recommend him to anyone who wants to start and change their life.

I started with Seán 4 years ago and he has been amazing. Not only has he catered for my slight disabilities he has put up with my abuse!

He has made bespoke exercise plans for me and reviewed them as we go along. He makes sure I don’t get bored as I hate the gym and exercise even more. Seán always manages to keep me interested while pushing my limits.

I approached Sean for personal training after I found myself in a fitness rut after running a marathon. Sean is the ideal personal trainer. He is knowledgeable, likeable and pragmatic. As a qualified doctor myself I can vouch for his excellent working knowledge of anatomy and physiology which is well above others in the industry. He applies this knowledge alongside a common-sense approach to ensure he gets the best from his clients no matter what their history or background in excercise and sports. He has been excellent at adapting our workouts for my injury and has really assisted me in my rehabilitation. He is a bright and engaging person. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

I decided to get a personal trainer for a holiday in September. My results so far have been amazing. I have always been in the gym and I thought that I knew what I was doing but after making small changes advised by Sean my body has never been better. My lower body was strong but I struggled with my upper body. I can now feel that my upper body & core is getting stronger week on week. I can now do more exercises that I couldn't do before such as holding planks for longer, holding a hand stand, and lifting heavy weights for my arms that I never thought that I would do. I have also been working on my glutes for years and I have found them really challenging to grow but for the first time ever I can see that my glutes and legs are becoming more toned and stronger. I have only been working with Sean for a month and already seeing differences so I am excited to see what we can achieve in the next couple of weeks. Sean offers advice and daily support through whatsapp and he is extremely clued up and talented at what he does

Coming from a sporting background all my knowledge was very sport specific. I came to Sean because although effective for my sport I was struggling to put on size and strength using the techniques I had been using for years.
Sean worked with me to make a program that was easy to understand, implement and maintain.
As a result my strength and size has gone up more in the last 6 months than it has in all the years I tried it out alone.
Sean's extremely knowledgeable, who still finds ways to challenge me and is always available when I have question fitness related or otherwise.
The best thing about working out with Sean is definitely the fact that his programs can be so varied that it won't feel like you are just lifting all the time and he monitors you progress every step of the way so you can definitely see where you are in your journey.
