Hey! I’m Steve, I’m a level 3 Personal Trainer based at Gosforth Leisure Centre, I love working with everyone, whether you’re totally new to the gym or an experienced athlete.

I started my fitness career as a UK Athletics qualified coach in running fitness and work with people towards a range of goals, both running and general fitness related. So whether you’re looking to run a 5k for the first time, just want to feel fitter and stronger, or PB an ultramarathon, give me a shout.

The main pillars of my training ethos are enjoyment, sustainability, and total customisation. Your sessions will be created just for you so that they fit in with your life and are something you look forward to doing in the long term, with no arbitrary weight/size measurements or ineffective overcomplications.

I offer 1-2-1 sessions as well as duo sessions if you want to bring a friend. The first session is on me! Message me here to find out more.

I initially started with Steve with 2 goals in mind, to lose some weight and to be at a level to complete my first ever great north run
He listened and advised me well over the course of the months and got me to a place i wasn’t sure I’d get to, going from a non runner struggling with 60 seconds runs to having completed a 10 mile run and being prepared for the big day in the space of about 7 months, also he really helped with going to the gym as never really liked it and felt out of place but he helped me massively in that regard as i now comfortably go on my own which i wouldn’t have done previously
Would definitely recommend his services for anyone

Steve has been instrumental in helping me feel confident lifting weights and just generally feeling comfortable in the gym. He has given me the tools and the support (and the much needed praise when I'm doubting myself!) to perfect the techniques of compound lifts so I am pushing myself while remaining safe and uninjured. I had a 1-2-1 session with Steve. I'm coming back from injury and Steve listened to my concerns and targets for the future, and showed me a good workout that I will be using to get fit again.
I found Steve to be very friendly and empathetic to my issues. I'll definitely be going back to Steve in the future when I've got some fitness back and be looking for him to show me how to make the step up to the next level of fitness and form.
