Hello. I’m Tim. A Personal Trainer from Cardiff. I was born and grew up here.

I started personal training in 2018, having discovered a love of health and fitness in my mid-twenties. Since then, I’ve seen the way that prioritising health and wellbeing can be a powerful way to advocate for yourself, and since starting, I’ve had had the pleasure to help other people from all walks of life improve their health and wellbeing, build their confidence, and set themselves on the path toward their goals.

As of 2024 I work with Your Personal Training out of Maindy Centre. I’m also available in Star Hub and Penylan Library and Community Centre. If you have a health or fitness goal, get in touch to chat.

I love Dungeons and Dragons, I play it (or some other tabletop game) every week with my friends.

I've been training with Tim for just under two months with the goal of weight loss and having someone who could keep me accountable. Having spent a lot of time leading a sedentary lifestyle, I'd always thought that I was allergic to gyms - not knowing what to do, getting bored on a cross trainer/treadmill and generally finding it an intimidating environment. When I reached out to Tim, he phoned for an initial chat and I was taken aback when he mentioned the possibility of me training in the gym twice a week (?!?!) I now go three times a week! I feel more confident going on my own in between PT sessions with a workout plan in hand that Tim designed which incorporates a variety of exercises to keep things interesting and doesn't take more than hour to complete. The sessions with Tim are great, I feel safe lifting weights with him spotting, his communication is second to none and I'm very grateful for his ability to adapt to the situation on the day. Not only am I sustainably losing weight and building strength, the quickest and most noticeable change are my increased energy levels and improved mood. If you've made it this far, just wanted to say that this has been the best investment in myself to date and can be yours too :)

I contacted Tim to assist me in learning how to use gym equipment effectively and safely.
Changing from a training regime of only dumbbells and cardio equipment, The array of tools available in a commercial gym can be intimidating, not knowing where to start.
Tim made the experience of adapting to a full Gym environment smooth and enjoyable.
He explains and demonstrates how everything works, what muscles are utilised and how to fit everything together. For anyone looking to either start from Zero or just take things a little more seriously, I can recommend Tim.

I highly recommend Tim, he took the time to listen to what my fitness goals were and then delivered a training session around those. He also gave me exercises that I could continue doing at home and instructions on how to use the machines in the gym correctly. I felt very confident in Tim’s knowledge and he was great at giving instructions in a way that were easy to follow. If you are thinking of a PT I would definitely recommend Tim, I am a mature women who hasn’t done much for while but Tim put me at ease and I definitely felt much more confident after my session and ready to work towards becoming a lot fitter than I currently am.
