PT of the Month - April 2023

YOUR Personal Training Blog
21st April 2023

YOUR Personal Training are thrilled to announce Karl Bailey as the Personal Trainer of the Month for April 2023.

Karl, based out of the Beacon Centre, Beaconsfield exemplifies of what it takes to become a successful personal trainer and is fully deserving of this great accolade.

Karl commenced his journey with YOUR PT in April 2021 straight off the back of COVID-19 restrictions and in the midst of nationally uncertainty. Karls passions for helping others prevailed as he built up a successful reputation in a short space of time by following some very basic steps set out in his YOUR PT business blueprint and maintaining a high work ethic and ‘can do’ attitude.

During this uncertain time and with a background in sports science and teaching, Karl maintained full time employment whist building up his self employed personal training business through YOUR PT.

Karl now is fully immersed in his PT business on a full time basis and prides himself on delivering hyper personalised services to his ever evolving client base.

Karl commented “I spent a lot of time during lockdowns studying and improving my knowledge base, I completed an S&C course and numerous CPD qualifications - for me all programmes need to be results driven and realistic”

During the initial stages of developing his business Karl describes his launch process as ‘professional and smooth’, the benefits of having Sean (Regional Manager) in his corner was extremely helpful and following the guidance set out helped to hone in on reaching targets.

“I now work with 20+ clients and consistently delivery 30+ sessions per week, I feel now I can help a wide spectrum of clients, personal training can be a lonely game but having team support is very helpful and also attending events like PerformX was a real eye opener and great to see how the fitness industry operates outside of my gym”.

So what’s next for Karl on his career journey?

“I really need to develop my social media knowledge and start to elevate my profile online as well as in club, in addition to this I am very much looking at the Master Trainer model at YOUR PT to assign a coach to work with clients in peak hours where I am pretty much at full operating capacity, this fits with my biggest challenge currently - I’m a long hours PT and my desire is to grow my business to a point where I have some leverage opportunities”.

Number 1 reason why someone should become a PT and join the fitness industry?

“It’s quite simple, take control of your schedule by helping others - there is literally no other job like Personal Training”.
